Educators & Community Groups
Bring your students, staff, or community group for a 2-hour interactive program at Nostalgia Games Café that turns play into an enriching experience for just $29 per person! Perfect for teachers, private school educators, tutors, youth group leaders, and community organizations, this facilitator-led session utilizes board games to develop logic, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. It’s not just a game day - it’s education plus fun, all rolled into one.
What’s Included
Host-Led Icebreaker
A friendly game host kicks off the fun with a 15-minute icebreaker game, getting everyone laughing and in the mood for play.
Tailored Game Curriculum
We select games that exercise critical thinking, strategy, and cooperation. From logic puzzles to team challenges, every game in the program is chosen to reinforce skills like problem-solving, communication, and creative thinking.
Interactive 2-Hour Session
The program is structured for engagement - typically a short intro, multiple game rotation rounds, and a debrief/discussion at the end. Students will work in small groups, rotating through different games or scenarios to keep things fresh and exciting.
Digital Teacher’s Handout
We can provide a follow-up digital handout for educators summarizing the games played and the key skills/lessons from each. Perfect for continuing the discussion in class or for including in your lesson plans. (Included free upon request with your session.)
Drinks for Everyone
Each team member gets 1 drink ticket (non-alcoholic) - choose from our quality coffees or assortment of teas. A little caffeine or a cozy cup of tea fuels the fun (and keeps that afternoon slump away!).
Light Food and Snacks
No one likes bonding on an empty stomach. We’ll provide light snack bowls on each table (think pretzels, popcorn, or chips) so teams can graze while they game. It’s the perfect munch-and-play setup.

FAQ

We can adapt “Strategic Thinking for Students” to a wide range of ages. Generally, it works best for upper elementary (around age 10) through high school. We’ll choose games appropriate to the cognitive level of your students. If you have a mixed-age youth group, we’ll include games that everyone can grasp and enjoy. Feel free to tell us the age or grade of your kids, and we’ll tailor the experience accordingly.

Our cafe can comfortably host about 30 students in one session, and up to 40 if needed by utilizing the entire space. For larger groups, we might split into multiple sessions (e.g., two back-to-back sessions) to ensure everyone gets attention. We provide at least one facilitator for every 15-20 students, so no one is left out.

Yes - we understand budget constraints in educational settings. We have special group rates for schools and non-profit youth organizations. Pricing depends on the number of students and any custom requests, but we strive to make it affordable. If you book multiple sessions (e.g. a weekly program or several classes), we’ll apply a multi-session discount (see add-ons). Let us know your needs and budget range, and we can provide a quote or invoice that works for you.

Currently, our program is hosted at Nostalgia Games Cafe - this allows us to provide the full collection of games and a controlled, fun environment without transporting lots of materials. Our cafe is set up like a big classroom crossed with a play zone, which students love. That said, if you have a special request for an on-site school workshop, let’s discuss - we may accommodate off-site for an added fee, depending on logistics.

While this package is focused on the gaming activity (and does not automatically include a meal), our café kitchen can be open if you’d like to add refreshments. Common choices: we can arrange hot chocolate or lemonade for the kids, or have baked goodies available at a small extra cost. If you prefer, students can bring their own nut-free snacks. Allergy note: Our café is nut-free and we take care with any food prep. If you share any specific dietary/allergy info (there’s a field on the form), we will ensure a safe experience. For example, we can avoid dairy products if there are lactose-intolerant students, or skip any food altogether if you’d rather just focus on the games.

We offer booking slots on weekday mornings or afternoons (perfect for field trips or class outings during school hours), as well as after-school or early evening for clubs and youth groups. Some educators book us for a weekday during school (e.g., 1-3 PM) as an enrichment activity. Others prefer a weekend slot for extracurricular groups. Let us know your ideal time, and we’ll do our best to accommodate it. We’re quite flexible as long as we plan ahead!
